"A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it." -Jean de La Fontaine
I met Bill while on assignment in Fayetteville last week. He came into the studio to model off the new line for Fayettechill, carrying a certain presence of anticipation & youthful exuberance with him as he entered the room. In between getting the shots we needed, we shared stories of time spent on the road. Bill had sold his construction company, converted a van into a home & travelled all over central America & the states, sharing memories and experiences with friends & strangers along the way.
Since his time of wandering he's ended up back in Fayetteville, where he & his girlfriend pursue their own business endeavors (his girlfriend, Sadie, with Mom and Pop Shoppe & Bill with his skate shop). I ran into Bill the following day & after seeing his set of wheels had to ask him if he'd like to have some photos taken of him cruising around the Fayetteville back country. He invited a friend along & from there we took off into the pastel dusk of the warm, ethereal evening. The night ended with pizza & beer in town, but the friendship is just beginning. Until next time, Bill.
